VIDEO video of n.a
Not Applicable, 05/17/02

After over two years, I've finally gotten a capture card and enough time to rip some exerpts from my only live show to date, which took place in my living room on 5/17/02. Thanks to Stu for doing the video and sound recording, and to Bill for providing accompanying guitar. There are some parts of these videos where the camera is focusing on my guests, this was because Stu thought he had another camcorder videotaping me the entire time, but it took a poop on him without realization. He is not a professional, neither am I, and I choked up once or twice. I was really nervous and couldn't even get drunk or I wouldn't have been able to play, and I even sat there and sang Space Oddity dry. So don't give me any shit, ok?

My only Recital 06/01

Ok. This is absolutely awful. I'm putting it here so you guys have a little bit of a perspective as to why I don't play live. I have terrible, terrible stage fright. I can't control my nervous shaking, it effects my voice enough for me to want to gag when I hear myself afterwards, and it feels absolutely horrible while it is happening.

For a while, I was trying to get over this stage fright. I took voice lessons for a while, but that wasn't very helpful for me.. all my teacher really did was play scales on the piano and tell me I sounded great. I was in it for the opportunity to be in a recital for once. I sang "Angel", by Sarah McLachlan, which I normally sing to perfection by myself, or during drunk karaoke. This was a disaster, right down to performing after some 5 year old kid who couldn't get through "Oh when the saints go marching in" and ran off the stage crying. Ugh. Ugh I say.

I know I'll regret this.. (mp4) 3.5mb (full)
