One of my personal favorites. From my second album, Altercations.

Infinite Reality (Oct 99 5.7mb)

My first song. From my first album, Point of Origin, which I still think is the best by far.

Great remix.

Structure/Headpusher Promo (2003)

A limited number of white label Structure/Headpusher promos are now available available at Release Records in Toronto and Plastic Fantastic in the UK..

Global Underground, Reykjavik (2003)

One of the best received GU releases ever, I contibuted to Dreamtravelers track on disc 2, Headpusher. Warren spins light, sparse wax that rambles through electro and Orb-ish atmospherics and refrains from predictable peaks and valleys. Later, after the dance floor ignites on disc 2 with bouncy tracks like Aquaculture's "Don't Play the Game," it's clear that disc 1 was just the dreamy eye of a hurricane.

Scribe Machine, Replicant (2002)

Scribe Machines second full length album. I contributed to the song "Fragile". the entire thing is a stunning piece of work, and scribe machine is forged of unprecidented talent. get the cd.

Horrorvision (2001)

The original "killer website" movie. This special edition DVD features my vocals in the beginning credits.

Not Applicable, Altercations (2001)

My second album, released for the main purpose of showcasing some of the beautiful remixes I had received for songs off of point of origin. Previously available through mp3.com.

Not Applicable, Point of Origin (2000)

My first album, consisting of 7 melodic, dark, tortured songs. Previously available through mp3.com.

NEW RELEASES these songs are new, and currently not available on CD unless otherwise stated.
Equilibrium (July 04 1.4mb)

It's very ambient. I've kept it around for months with no luck complicating it. So like this it will stay.

I put a spell on you, live (Feb 03 6.5mb)

spontanious cover song, recorded live. its creepy, slow, desperate, obsessive, powerful, unsettling, and ultimately.. sad. just like everything else i do.

Mystere, Mekanick Remix (Nov 02 5.6mb)

a nice trip hop remix of mystere. very original and mellow beats.

Diuturnity (Nov 02 4.31mb)

recorded live, but not during a show, Diuturnity is a very simple song about the displacement i felt when realizing i was actually going to be leaving my home to reside in india. the main emotional theme is longing. already missing the people i love and will not see while i am there.

Is there anybody out there, Live 05-17-02 (Nov 02 3.12mb)

a live version of the original pink floyd classic, not applicable style. guitar stylings provided by bill flowers.

Sepulture, Live 05-17-02 (Nov 02 6.8mb)

a live version of sepulture from the only show ive ever put on; in my living room. :) its beautiful.

Sepulture (Jan 02 6.7mb)

the first new original track in over 8 months, sepulture digs deep into the roots of existence and non-existence by illustrating the battle one fights when faced with the loss of a loved one. the live version is far superior, in my opinion. i released the studio version before i should have.

Divergence, Elden Magnetic Remix (Dec 01 4.6mb)

a very dramatic and epic sounding remix by elden magnetic. the first remix of divergence to be released.

Structure (June 01 4mb)
Dream Traveler feat. Courtnee Papastathis

what can i really say about structure. its a beautifully constructed trance/dance track which takes all the seemingly unavoidable rules of dance music and throws them out the window. we mixed quite a few styles into this track and the improvised vocals are unlike anything i've personally heard in this genre before. this is the product of my first collaboration with joe, and i hope very much that there will be more to come.

Resonance (June 01 3.9mb)

an awesome creation from papabyrd, a dear friend of mine.. using vocal samples from both convergence and threshold. this is one of my favorite moody tracks on my page.

Cirque Des Vampires (May 01 2.3mb)

a dark circus collaboration with Aaron Marshall, also known as 'noct'. as usual, i am the vocalist! :) some really high vocal work in this one, and the theme is nice and creepy. its worth checking out.

ALTERCATIONS songs featured on my Altercations CD, previously available through mp3.com.
Solace - Live (Aug 00 5.4mb)

also a live recording. this song is about.. wanting more, i guess. specifically it is about knowing that the relationship i am in has come to an end and not knowing how to inform my significant other. it was a very uncomfortable time in my life and applies to a lot of other trials i was going through at the time. i had to choke back tears while performing it.

Mystere - Live (Aug 00 4.2mb)

a live recording. inspired wholly by Cirque Du Soleil. need i say more?

Aura (July 00 3.7mb)

an old live recording of me playing around with my juno that i recently decided to release unfinished. i have no plans to add anything to it, but i may perhaps record a longer version. it is.. trancy, pretty and inspiring. sounds great stoned, too. :)

Atonement (June 00 5.6mb)

slightly different style here, using my kurtzwell micropiano midi module graciously donated to me by my friend stu. this song took me about two weeks, but only because i was out of town for a week and a half during its production. it is about.. frustration, confusion.. the need to be redeemed by some unknown for feeling the way i have. its about not having the control i would like. very interesting vocals.. somewhat powerful.

Preterition - Scott Walldren Remix (June 00 4.5mb)

a very well constructed remix of preterition.. drums and everything! adds a powerful excitement to the song. i would love to perform it live some day.

Convergence - Scott Walldren Remix (June 00 4.0mb)

this is exactly how i would have created convergence if i had any fuckin talent. its like scott swiped the drums straight out of my head, and added a little oriental flare. i am very, very impressed with this remix. it made me cry, i was so flattered and happy with it.

MBH - Tom Coulter Remix (June 00 4.6mb)

a -very- impressive remix of My Brave Heart, using both takes and various techniques to create a truly original sound. Toms on a roll.

POINT OF ORIGIN songs featured on my Point of Origin CD, previously available through mp3.com.
Divergence (Feb 00 9.0mb)

a distance cousin of convergence. a bit darker and much longer, this is the most personal and revealing song ive created to date. it grips me just as its subject matter has my entire life. make it yours.

Preterition (Jan 00 5.2mb)

this song is for anyone who's ever been taken for granted, stepped over, disregarded, used, abused, mistreated, or generally wronged. its a nice way of saying 'fuck you' to whoever is or one day will be shit out of luck because you're gone.

Convergence (Dec 99 4.3mb)

my third song, short and sweet. a lot like untitled but original. this one makes me cry, mainly because i was thinking about sloth (my recently deceased cat) when i wrote it, and even more so while mixing it. i guess you could say that its really personal.

Threshold (Nov 99 6.5mb)

my second song. its, dark. moody. almost gothic but not quite. not as sleepy as infinite reality but it definitely takes you someplace. as always, tell me what you think.

Infinite Reality (Oct 99 5.7mb)

my first real song, is finished. after having my synth for a short amount of time, i have already come up with something i like a lot, thats totally mine. im so stoked that now a whole cd is mentioned in the projects section! :) it's a slow, ambient track.. really pretty, i think. If you happen to listen to it, tell me what you think.

my brave heart - AUX remix (Nov 99 2.1mb)

sample #2 of 'my brave heart', which i posted on mp3.com a while ago, has since been mixed into a song by an mp3.com user named scott.

ORIGINAL SAMPLES original samples that ive made, by voice and/or synth. although some of the melodies and such are from other pieces, the samples are all me. if you or someone you know wants to use any of them in a song, email me.
my brave heart 1 (Oct 99 1.2mb)
my brave heart 2 (Oct 99 900k)

i had the theme riff from braveheart stuck in my head last night. when i realized i was singing it i decided to record. the takes are numbered in order from first to last take. they were done really quickly and totally on the fly, almost no practice at all.. so you know, as always be gentle. i dont plan on doing anything else with this so as is it isnt really a cover, its a sample. maybe ill use it if i ever learn how to make trance. the second take is my favorite, btw.

COVER SONGS cover songs ive done myself, but still cover songs nonetheless. some of them are actually pretty ok. in order from most favorite to least keeping sound quality in mind. most of these are from when i was just starting out with recording things.
Serve the Servants (Oct 00 4.7mb)

nirvana cover, VERY different from the original, but done well enough that although from conception to mp3 compression the entire thing took about 5 hours (most of which was eating dinner).. it got posted anyway. its halloweenish, even! synth and vocals performed in unison. view lyrics here

D7 (July 00 2.6mb)

nirvana cover. played guitar and sang at the same time. its not perfect but i think it sounds pretty damn good. special thanks to the end for playing this and reminding me what an awesome song it is. view lyrics here

sweet dreams (April 00 4.7mb)

eurythmics/manson cover. it rules. listen to it.

street spirit (April 00 4.7mb)

radiohead cover. its terrible.. I was painfully drunk and the guitar is pretty bad.. but i sang and played at the same time.. so be gentle.

dont leave me now (Nov 98 1.7mb)

pink floyd cover, my most recent cover.. completed in seattle with a borrowed acoustic guitar. its desperate and uneven, as it should be.

untitled (March 98 2.4mb)

previously known as 'sad3' i opted for the 'untitled' title when mp3.com downloads were next to zip with its current name. now i could give a rats ass about mp3.com since they did that stupid 128k encoding shit. its a vocal mix of 'freds world' from the lost highway soundtrack. -very- sad, somewhat overdriven mic wise, as many of these mp3s are.

mercy (98 1.7mb)

a sarah mclachlan cover. before you say 'eew!!', listen to it. its one of her best songs, although i didnt do it justice. a single vocal with a few effects is what this cover is. i kinda like it that way.

sugar coma (Oct 98 1.8mb)

a hole cover, from when they used to be good. people have told me my covers of holes music sound better than the originals, to which i say 'it isnt very challenging.' i played guitar while singing this one, with a cold. be gentle.

shorter (Nov 98 419k)

the ending vocal and guitar clip from dont leave, remixed.

gold dust woman (May 98 2.6mb)

stevie nicks cover. guitar and vocal recorded seperately, neither had any effects added. if you wanna see how bad i sound without them, get this one.

goodbye (97 1.3mb)

another floyd cover. vocals and guitar played together, also no effects added. and, i got the first verse wrong.. but i kinda like it that way.

best sunday dress (96 840k)

another hole cover. this song was included in their 'unplugged' set, and was also on 'pretty on the inside' for a brief intermission. guitar and vocals recorded together, quiality is low.. but none of my covers are very good quality because when i made them i was always on a dailup. cant distribute 6 meg files too easily.

raining in baltimore (97 4.0mb)

counting crows cover. i cant remember if this was the first song i recorded or if best sunday dress was, but i know they were created roughly in the same time period. horrible quality is made up for in emotion, definitely.

yah.. (98 655k)

dead can dance cover. from the album 'the serpants egg'. all vocal, though you can hear a bit of the original song in the background in the form of drums and cymbols. i had no headphones, and needed the music for tempo, sorry. :)

mixed in mono (98 841k)

another dead can dance cover, also from the serpants egg.. but only the last part of the song. all vocal, with part of the begining of the track faded into the end.

sad (97 418k)

instrumental floyd cover. horrible quality, but i keep it because its one of the few things i recorded in baltimore. the memories just come flooding in when i listen to it. the .wav file is much better quality. if i ever find it ill up that instead.

high (98 947k)

lorenna mckennett voice mix. from the intro of 'the highwayman' if i remember correctly. one of the few covers i recorded in stereo.

fallen (98 2.4mb)

an.. 'interesting' remix of my mercy cover, done by stile. using acid and loops no doubt. i dont particularly like it, but its one of the only songs here with a beat, so if you're into something with beats listen i guess.
