Life in a Box is a mixed media project which came about one rainy, grumpy day.
I was riding the bus into work, bemoaning the abysmal weather and generally having a rough time of things, when I noticed how beautiful the water and condensation on the bus window was.
For the next 20 minutes, I took pictures of the window with varying scenes behind it, producing a collection of beautiful abstract images.
After further inspiration and plans for the works, I created a kickstarter in the hopes of funding the printing of these images to 12 1.5″ deep 8×8″ square canvases, and further embellishing them with acrylic paints and a thick epoxy finish to complete them.
Thanks to Kickstarter, the creation of these images into an art installation was made possible.
Life in a Box was on display for the month of July 2012 at Poco Wine Room as part of the Blitz: Capitol Hill Arts Walk in Seattle on Thursday July 12th through August 7th.
