Artistic Leadership

Circus Aerial Instructor – Versatile Arts, LLC

Since 2009, I teach introduction to aerial at versatile arts, focusing on giving beginning aerialists the tools and coaching needed to start off right. I specialize in choreography, emoting, act creation and ushering beginners into expressing themselves through aerial artistry.

Prior to my position at Versatile Arts, I taught aerial at the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts from 2004-2006.

Theatrical Director / Producer – Various

Embodied, Solo music and aerial show – Self-Produced via KickStarter, 2011
How Art Saved My Life, Integrated Workshop – Vita Arts, 2011
The Obsidian Show, Theatrical Production – Little Red Studio, 2008-2009

Nonprofit Founder / President – Vita Arts 501 (c)(3)

Vita Arts was a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through the power of artistic expression. I co-founded the company and created its flagship Integrated Workshop structure, which combines profound theater with art lessons taught by the performers.

From April 2009 to June 2013 I served as the Creative director, Executive Director and Board President of Vita Arts. In my time at Vita, we partnered with The Orion Center/Youthcare Seattle and the Phoenix program of the Eugene juvenile justice system to reach at risk youth. I also wrote and directed the shows at Vita Arts, and taught aerial circus and music.

Performance Director – FSPC 501 (c)(3)

From 2012 – 2014 I served as performance director for The Foundation For Sex Positive Culture which produces the annual Seattle Erotic Art Festival.
My approach to Performance Direction is to create an organic flow that enhances the ambient quality of events by bringing a sense of intimacy and relation to the performance offerings and methods of their presentation. I excel at creating story arcs from variety and writing meaningful transitions between acts. I focus on creating expressive opportunities for underrepresented people, including women of color and the LGBT population, in this role.
