Occasionally, when the moon was right and the stars aligned, I reported for the Hacker News Network. Sometimes I wrote my own opinion pieces, but mostly Space Rogue jotted things down for me which I then molested into my own slowly-progressing style and read for the techie masses. It was loads of fun and I enjoyed it immensely.
Sadly, putting on The Hacker News Network is a full-time job which doesn’t pay. Eventually SR and Tan decided to give up the ghost on HNN’s revival, much to the collective sadness of all. Especially me, who had just started touching on silly character work and hadn’t gotten back into the swing of reporting before the closure happened.
At one time Tan decided it would be fun to post all my HNN spots on youtube all by their lonesome. Some of them are pretty effin entertaining.

Clearly, the Jester gag was the most viewed piece I did, and it was the most elaborate and fun one too. Even though it seems a lot of people didn’t get the Stephen-Colberesque backstabby-silly flavored intent of the piece based on the comments, I still think it’s funny as shit and had a total blast making it, so fuck ‘em.
