Vita Arts is a non-profit organization committed to sharing the transformative power of art with the disadvantaged and emotionally distraught.  Those dealing with recent loss, terminal illness, war, and homelessness are a few examples of the populations we seek to expose to the restorative nature of creativity in various art forms.

Artistic expression promotes healing, self discovery, and provides an oftentimes essential outlet for articulating and releasing difficult emotions during times of adversity.  Art created through the process of using expression as a means to cope with crisis serves as a great inspiration and motivator to others, increasing its positive and long-lasting effects.

We support artistic expression as a creative motivator, a pathway to healthy coping practices, and an ever-present reminder of the power and strength of the human spirit by:

1) Teaching children and adults in dire situations how to be empowered through the expression of their artistic skills.
2) Providing the opportunity for workshop graduates to tell their stories through themed, public showcases.
3) Sponsoring the production of Vita Arts performances.

Future plans include outreach with other non-profit organizations, such as disaster relief, and expanding this important work to other parts of the world. http://vita-arts.org
