You know, I often wonder what the ‘something’ that must be wrong with TJ’s brand food will end up being. Because really, it’s affordable, delicious and doesn’t have fake sweetener or HFCS or hydrogenated oils or ingredients I can’t pronounce. It appears to be simple, honest food at a fair price. Seriously, what am I missing here? Someone’s gotta be pulling one over on me.

I getting the stink-eye from the women I pass on the street today. I am laughing at it, because I feel great and it’s awesome to have energy finally, but I know where they’re coming from, too.

I’ve noticed recently that I tend to put an invisible wall up when I see strangers carrying musical instruments on the street or public transit. I think it’s out of a kind of shame for being such a shitty musician; I don’t want to get trapped in a conversation about the instruments I “play”.

So I’m working through the drafts on neevita, not sure how they accumulate actually, it looks as though sometimes I’ll write up status updates and decide they’re not quite ready or maybe I don’t want to post it as it is and then forget about them. I just found this one from July 23 of 2011:

One thing about my life that’s special and somewhat unique, is the way I utilize the internet to express myself and also to allow people to get to know me. I sometimes forget what it’s like to connect with someone over time who doesn’t know my mother left when I was a kid, hasn’t read about the way I utilize artistry to cope with trauma, doesn’t follow neevita or know about the deep experiences I’ve processed here.

Sometimes the ripening of a connection with a person reveals something I had previously been disconnected with, or unable to articulate. That happened last night,

My morning has consisted of sleeping til 11, extending my hair back to the asymmetrical natural color I had back in 2006 (and it only took me half an hour!), making myself an awesome brunch of sundried tomato and goat cheese ravioli in kale and chicken stock I made from scratch that didn’t need a speck of salt, and juicing a few carrots, an apple, some ginger and a cucumber.

Now I shall procrastinate bussing to Burien to fill a prescription I don’t need for a couple days in favor of continuing to sort through my tags here and start a couple paintings before heading to Remedy to meet a friend later tonight. And it’s sunny outside.

Days like this remind me why I pay my dues so I can do what I care about doing, and not much else.

Week 5.5 of antibiotics and nearly ready to be off them. Still no physical activity worth mentioning other than a few surges of good spirited energy, but I have been feeling better and mostly waking up alert for about a week now. Current course runs out in three days, and I want to stay on them another week after that to make sure whatever the fuck I had is dead, dead and god damn fucking dead. Then on to food allergy and autoimmune disorder investigations.

I just remembered part of a dream I had last night, which consisted of an amazing band that had invented and built their own beautiful, strangely shaped string instruments. That glowed. And sounded amazing. I love benedryl coupled with Pandora.
